Inside Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz Beckham’s Wedding Menu

story by DAVID KIM

Weddings come and go, but every once in a while one circles back into the group chat. Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz Beckham’s April 2022 wedding is having one of those moments—not because of the dress, the guest list, or even the venue, but because of an awkward first-dance moment with Victoria Beckham, the mother of the groom. But while the internet is busy debating family dynamics and trying to hunt down footage of the dance moment in question, we’re here to focus on a part of the wedding that did go exactly as planned: the food.

“The only thing that Brooklyn cared about was the food,” Nicola told Vogue UK back in June 2022. As an aspiring chef, he made sure every detail of the menu was just right, and it clearly paid off.

Haute Cuisine, Peltz Beckham Style

Brooklyn and Nicola’s wedding menu was put together by Thierry Isambert Culinary & Event Design, one of South Florida’s most prestigious catering firms. Isambert’s résumé reads like a luxury brand catalog—Dior, Fendi, Neiman Marcus, MTV, even the Miami Heat, and now of course the Peltz Beckham wedding. Isambert’s style is based in classic 17th-century European technique, but infused with Mediterranean, Caribbean, and Pacific flavors.

For the formal dinner, wedding guests were treated to halibut, filet mignon, and a vegan osso buco that felt every bit as deliberate as the plated steak. Meanwhile, Nicola’s favorite fruit, dates, appeared in the head table centerpieces, a personal touch amid the formal elegance. Brooklyn had just one rule, Nicola shared: no square plates or big forks.

The Real Highlight: The Wendy’s Food Truck

Another culinary showstopper came after the main course, when a Wendy’s food truck rolled up to the party. (Context matters here: Nicola’s father, Nelson Peltz, was the chairman of Wendy’s for 17 years.) Despite’s his bride’s personal connection to Wendy’s, Brooklyn tells Vogue UK that the food truck was actually his idea. “A perfect final touch,” he says. Rolling Stone reports that the groom weighed on every detail, suggesting a single or double “Brooklyn burger,” a “Nicola burger” wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun, fries (plain or truffle), and naturally, Frosties.

Most couples don’t have a ton of time to sneak a bite to eat at their reception, but Nicola made sure to get her Wendy’s fix. “We didn’t eat at all until we got to the Wendy’s truck, and then I had three burgers,” Nicola told Vogue UK.

And just like that, a $3 million-plus wedding ended with burgers, fries, and Frosties—the ultimate reminder that even the fanciest affairs are better with a little fast-food indulgence.
