story by KALEA MARTIN
American popstar Madison Beer is perfectly willingly to try a traditional English breakfast simply because “life is short,” but put a simple bowl of cereal in front of her and she’d much rather eat that instead. “I’m used to it and I know what we’re getting into,” she explained on LADbible while taste testing British and American foods. Madison Beer is a girl who knows what she likes.
If she had the choice however, Madison Beer revealed on Hot Ones that she would much rather start her morning with a very specific breakfast sandwich from a bagel shop in her hometown. “Bagel Boss is probably where you’ll find me,” says Beer, a Long Island native. Her go-to breakfast is one that her mom would always get and that she now gets too.
“It’s a little weird, maybe to some,” Beer says of her order. “Plain bagel, toasted, egg whites, muenster cheese, salt and pepper. Give it a go. Let me know what you think.”
For out-of-state fans who can’t make it to Bagel Boss in person for the breakfast sandwich now being called the “Madison Beer Special”, luckily the New York-based bagel shop has shared exactly how they make it. Find the full recipe below, courtesy of Nicole from Bagel Boss!

Madison Beer’s Breakfast Bagel Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 plain bagel
- 2 egg whites
- 3 slices muenster cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Butter or oil for cooking
Directions:
- Toast the bagel: Slice the bagel in half and toast until golden brown and crisp on the cut sides. Set aside.
- Prepare the egg whites: In a small bowl, whisk the egg whites until lightly frothy.
- Cook the eggs: Heat a small nonstick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or oil. Pour in the egg whites and cook, until they begin to set, about 1 to 2 minutes.
- Add the cheese: Once the eggs are mostly cooked, layer the muenster slices evenly over the eggs. Cook until the cheese is fully melted, about 30 to 60 seconds.
- Assemble the sandwich: Transfer the egg-and-cheese filling onto the bottom half of the toasted bagel. Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.
- Finish and serve: Add the top half of the bagel, slice the sandwich in half, and enjoy!
