The Michael Jackson movie has been in theaters since April 24, and if you walked out of the theater immediately wanting to watch it again, you’re not alone. Fans are already anticipating the film’s streaming release, getting ready to host their own ‘Michael’ viewing parties. But what movie night would be complete without a themed menu?
Since the film’s release, audiences have opened their eyes to the human side of the King of Pop. And among the lesser known revelations to resurface in recent weeks is a passenger food profile used during Jackson’s travels in the early 2000s, giving us a glimpse of his down-to-earth eating habits.
Originally made public back in 2007 by journalist Aphrodite Jones in Michael Jackson Conspiracy: How the Media Went After The King of Pop, MJ’s meals (at the time) revolved around the same dependable staples: KFC Original Recipe chicken breasts, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn on the cob, biscuits with strawberry jelly and spray butter, assorted fruit, white wine disguised in a Diet Coke can, Big Red gum, and the occasional ice cream sundae.
For anyone planning a future movie-night rewatch of ‘Michael,’ this assortment of food also happens to be perfect crowd-pleaser for if you don’t want to serve just popcorn. Check out the full spread ahead.
‘Michael’ is expected to arrive on Amazon Prime Video and Starz sometime in the late summer or early fall, Forbes has reported.
