When Grammy-nominated singer Tate McRae isn’t busy selling out arenas and recording hit songs, apparently she’s hanging out in Monmouth County, New Jersey.
Now, you may be wondering, what brings international popstar Tate McRae to the Jersey Shore? Well, that would be New Jersey Devils hockey player Jack Hughes — yes, the same Jack Hughes who scored the winning goal in the USA v. Canada hockey game in the 2026 Winter Olympics (and got his teeth knocked out in the process).

McRae and Hughes were first linked in November 2025, when a fan spotted them on a dinner date at Anton’s, the West Village cafe and wine bar in NYC. Clearly, the pair has continued seeing each other since then, and most recently spent Memorial Day weekend together in New Jersey.
Here’s are the five local food spots they visited while they were in town.

After being spotted at the airport together, Hughes and McRae treated themselves to ice cream from Salty’s Inlet Ice Cream. (The ice cream shop has since clarified that McRae did not come inside the store with him.)
2. Ray’s Cafe
McRae and Hughes were spotted grabbing a bite to eat at Ray’s Cafe, a family-owned business known for its homestyle American breakfast and lunch.
3. Rod’s Tavern
McRae and Hughes enjoyed dinner at Rod’s Tavern, a restaurant known for its coastal fare, classic pub favorites, and Italian-inspired comfort dishes.
“Both of them could not have been nicer!” fellow diner Richie Lamurro shared about his encounter with McRae and Hughes.
4. Parker House
McRae and Hughes didn’t do much eating at this legendary beachside restaurant and bar, but locals did spot the pair enjoying drinks together, along with Hughes’ brother Quinn.
5. Spring Lake Tap House
McRae and Hughes spent part of their evening at Spring Lake Tap House, a popular sports bar and local brunch spot.
